There has been an unconfirmed report that Microsoft will slash the price of the Xbox 360 from $399 to $299 in time for the release of the Playstion 3. The cost cutting is a possibility for Microsoft as the xbox 360 has now been in production for a while and apparently wastage has been cut down and manufacturers are willing to take price cuts of up to 15%-20%.
